• Alumni Leadership Network

    The Grossmont – Cuyamaca Alumni Leadership Network is for all Grossmont and Cuyamaca alumni. Whether you graduated with an Associate degree, transferred to a four-year university, completed a certificate or training course, or took a class or two, we welcome you to join a community of alumni who are appreciative and proud of where they began their dreams of higher education.  

    OUR GOAL is to create an opportunity for alumni to show pride in their schools, keep connected to the colleges, and help further the awareness and fundraising goals of the Foundation for Grossmont & Cuyamaca Colleges.

    Roles and Responsibilities
      • Attend one or two meetings per year
      • Join in for social hours for networking
      • Support the Annual Day of Giving – the spring fundraising initiative
      • Share social media content

    Opportunities for Engagement
      • Alumni Ambassadors and advocates of the community colleges
      • Campus tours; community representation
      • Volunteer engagements; speaking opportunities, workshops
      • Scholarship Review Committee
      • Support other fundraising initiatives
      • Attend sporting events, theatre, music, art events

  • Have you taken one or more classes at Grossmont or Cuyamaca College? If so, then we want to keep in touch with you! Complete the short form below or email foundation@gcccd.edu to join the Alumni Association so we can keep up with your accomplishments in life and keep you up-to-date on all that is going on with the colleges. Membership is FREE and is an easy way for alumni and friends to demonstrate their Grossmont & Cuyamaca College pride.


  • Jacob credits Cuyamaca College with helping him get his start in an engineering career.

  • Kelley praises the OPT program at Grossmont College that helped her figure out what she wanted to do in her future.

  • Isaac, now a student at University of San Diego, credits Grossmont College with helping him get to where he is today.

  • Brooklyn acknowledges the NextUp program at Cuyamaca College as helping her transfer to SDSU.


  • A Theatre Arts graduate from Grossmont College, Kian is now working and thriving in the field as an Artistic Associate at Cygnet Theatre.

  • Shakur was all set to attend UC Irvine after high school, until a diagnosis put a dent in her plans. Swiftly changing gears, she enrolled at Grossmont College and ended up finding that this was the perfect path for her.

  • Moving from Virginia to play football, Timothy credits the UMOJA program and Grossmont College as helping him set the foundation for his future.

  • After her time in the US Army, Yvonne started an entry level job but knew she needed additional skills to move up the ladder. She turned to Cuyamaca College's Paralegal Studies program and got a promotion when she graduated.


  • An adult reentry student, Monica proves that it's never too late for a new beginning. Monica graduated from Grossmont College's nursing department and now works as a Clinical Transplant Coordinator Registered Nurse at Yale New Haven Hospital, a top hospital in the U.S.

  • Ready for a career change, Lori enrolled in the Center for Water Studies program at Cuyamaca College after attending the Women in Water Symposium.
